Aceasta este o reprezentare a Muntelui Athos, destul de rara in iconografia noastra, aflata pe peretele vestic, exterior, al Manastirii Polovragi.


Manastirea Polovragi este asezata la intrarea in Cheile Oltetului, unele dintre cele mai spectaculoase si cele mai inguste de la noi din tara. Separa Muntii Parang de Capatanii

In Bolnita, niste amateurs...


Sfantul Hristofor, ocrotitorul calatorilor, cel care a intarziat la ,,intalnirea" cu Dumnezeu pentru ca ajutat Un Copil sa treaca o apa. In Apus era pictat supradimensionat pe peretii exteriori ai bisericilor pentru a fi vazut de departe si pentru ca cei calatori sa se roage lui


Celalalt Sf. Hristofor (nici o legatura cu primul) Kinocefal (cu cap de caine). E zugravit asa pentru ca provenea dintre pagani, care (se pare) erau cam cainosi...



Si-acum cate ceva din Pestera Polovragi (acolo am vazut MOARTEA!!!)
